What have you been up to? Quick update from me: It's been what, a year or so? In that time I got laid off. Phil quit school to work full time so I wouldn't have to (mostly because of my chronic illness and issues from it). I'm getting my masters in Communication. We adopted another baby kitty--Galadriel :) We moved out of the apartment into a townhouse, and things are going fairly well. We are indeed blessed.

About a year is right. Were you worried about being laid off? That sounds familiar. So you're in school now? Cool! What's your other cat's name? I like your new cat's name. Moving from an apartment to a home is HUGE! Congrats!

I'm still homeschooling the kids and a topic of frequent discussion by me is discipline - I need it! The kids and I went to TX last month and visited kae_jene and then went to OK for Mike's sister wedding. As soon as we got back jeney came to visit us in PA. Then we went for a family camping trip and now I'm gratefully back to the daily grind. Whew! That was long winded :)

I'm in a christian relationship and we plan to get married in the future. But I seek help for we are going through a difficult patch...again. He is haunted by the one he was with around December. When the haunting returns the time is painful for both of us. He has guilt and hate for himself becasue of it. For me...I've been known to take it out on myself physically for emotional pain eats away at me quite badly, in a way perhaps I cannot describe. He doesn't know I still harm myself, he used to do it himself and if he knew what I've done I know he'll do so much worse to himself.

It sounds to me as if deliverance needs to happen. From what I hear from you, it sounds like this is a matter of spiritual warfare. Do you have a church that practices deliverance ministry? It is important to find someone with expertise who can lead you in a deliverance session or an ongoing deliverance therapy.
I don't mean to sound un-educated but what do you mean by deliverance?
Not a problem! It is spirutal warfare directed prayer. From what you describe there is something spiritual going on that influening these actions. It is a very personal thing--usually not done in a large group but with a few people at the most. It is directed at one person, perhaps two. A lot of what happens in deliverance ministry shows the person areas where they have unresolved forgiveness, though that is not the only thing.
There are plenty of books on the subject that can help explain it better. Key terms to look for would be deliverance, spiritual warfare, inner healing.
I have had issues similar (though not the same) as what you describe and went through many times of deliverance and it has helped so much.

I see what you mean, for us we just call it ministry! You're right, it's been over a month since I've been involved or have received it. I assume it's also been around two weeks in which I havn't practised tongues in prayer!

Seek healing for yourselves individually and that healing will flow into your relationship. It's a process, not a quick fix, but will bond you together much more deeply since you face this together with the Lord
